COP15: Climate and Science
In December 2009 politicians from all over the world meet in Copenhagen to the UN Climate Change Conference COP15 to decide what we can and must do to get the climate on track. Research and new technology are the foundation for the people and politicians to make the right decision about the future.
The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation seeks to create green initiatives for the benefit of the climate in the following areas:
Green research
Research is needed to understand climate challenges. At the same time green technologies offers answers to how we can help the environment.
Sustainable university buildings
Danish universities have to lead the way and be green lighthouses for future buildings.
Green IT
IT can help limitting global emissions of CO2, if we get environmental thinking into the IT policy.
Climate Change Scholarships
11 students from around the world are offered two years stay at a Danish university as gifts for conference participants are skipped.
